    what's on my mind...

Read a quote on a book (interestingly on relationships) yesterday and found it very interesting...

    Martin Luther once said:

"You can't stop a bird from flying over (or landing on) your head, but you can stop it from building a nest in your hair."

Sounds lame? I thought so too... I mean what has birds got to do with me? Until I gave some thought to it... It is true that in a certain sense we cannot stop temptations from being hurled at us just like how we cannot prevent birds from flying over us. But what we can do is to shake it away when it starts to come near us. As Christians, we have the victory in Christ and can stop entertaining those thoughts that continues to linger in our mind when temptations come. It could be lustful thoughts, angry emotions, "emo" feelings, I need to learn to stop dwelling on those thoughts and allow my mind to be renewed by the Word.

    Rom 12:2
2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Get a grip Tee Ee Han!!
